Description

If you're a relative beginner to puja, or even if you've been worshipping Krishna for some time, you'll be sure to find this book helpful. It's packed full with ideas, practices, mantras and background information explaining why and how to do Deity worship in your own home.

You'll find all the key ideas of this sacred art of serving Krishna; clear explanations of the various terms used in worship; prayers and verses recited during traditional Vaishnava puja; explanations of what to do what to avoid; and many quotes from Srila Prabhupada on how he wanted his followers to care for the divine form of the Lord - in the temple and in their homes. This small book has been carefully complied from larger and more complex books and presents the essence of information in a handy format.

"We want every house to be a temple, not that our place should be the only place for the people to come. No, this should be the process; that they learn at our place, then establish the same thing at home."
Srila Prabhupada Letter
April 14, 1972
About the author
Kripamoya Das has been worshipping the Deity of Krishna every day, in some way, since 1974, and has recited most of the verses in these pages every morning for the past fourteen years. This book is an attempt to share his enthusiasm for puja.
