Description
gāyaty ukthāni śāstrāņi bhargam prāņāṁs tathaiva ca|| tataḥ smrteyam gāyatri sāvitrī yata eva ca | prakāśini sā savitur vāg-rūpatvāt sarasvati ||
Because it reveals (gayati) the Vedic mantras and scriptures, the Lord (bhargam) and the cause of the jīvas (prāņān), it is called gāyatrī. Because it reveals savitā it is called Sāvitrī. Because it is the form of words it is called sarasvati.

The body of the Lord is very sweet. His face is even sweeter. Ah! His gentle smile, smelling of honey, is the sweetest.

It is said in scriptures that Gāyatrī indicates that which delivers the chanter.
